I'd love to be privy to Niji's expectations for debut. It's still way too early to really tell how the branch will ultimately perform but I'm conflicted about this start.
On one hand, compared to the other Niji side branches this debut did really well and shows that it will almost certainly be the most successful side branch. On the other hand, they were clearly expecting this branch to do better since they actually put some advertising and hype behind it including their own song and Jp members talking about it.
While they my not have anywhere near the same interest level as Holo in the west, all but the most casual fans have probably at least heard of them. While I don't think that it would be fair to expect debut Holo views, I am a little surprised that more people didn't come.
This next week or so will be super important for them. It seems like they're going all in on streaming each day in order to ride the current buzz and build up a fan base. They'd probably better hurry too since Hololive could easily take the wind from Niji's sails with the announcement of a Vsinger or gen 2.
