Yeah let's talk about her hoodie, her hoodie is not just some "muumuu", it is clearly an oversized hoodie with nothing underneath, everyone likes that shit. I don't need to explain the appeal of that.
Don't give me that about the color scheme either, it's not just the color scheme, it's the design as well. When I say it's "iconic" I really mean that it's iconic with emphasis on the "icon" part. You can take just the shark mouth design of the hoodie and slap it anywhere and it immediately starts looking like Gura. Put it on a backpack, put it on a cup warmer, you can shrink it or stretch it without it losing it's identity.
In comparison just look at Kiara, what does she have? There's no coherent recognizable pattern in her uniform except orange. She has a black stripe with white stars on her hat and nowhere else, all she's got on her shirt are tiny blue buttons on her shirt that no one even notices and some vertical lines, a generic sailor uniform collar, featureless black bra straps, impersonal bowtie choker. The only things she's really got going for her appearance-wise are the way her blue earrings look against her orange hair, and maybe the cut of the bottom of her shirt. What the fuck do you even do with that?
Her sword and shield have more potential for being iconic than anything else, but they don't really convey Kiara's identity, it's just Huke ejaculating onto Kiara's design for no good reason. Gura on the other hand, everything about her screams "shark girl". You take any of her features alone, it conveys something that's connected to Gura.
I don't say this because I hate Kiara, I just think Huke did Kiara dirty by making her design like that.
