if a corpo like hololive had a sudden death due to accident or murder, Cover will just put a quick termination notice of the chuuba in question and scrub any traces of her. profiting off a dead person IIRC is seen as shameful in japan. they might just mourn for a short time, then move on as if nothing happened.

But in reality let's not kid ourselves they've probably got protocols built up for a catastrophe from it being a single talent killed or the nightmare scenario of a mass casualty scenario (such as group doing a trip elsewhere and dying).
We don't know the plans but they likely exist.

If anything we can figure that we'll have some degree of ceremony / memorial event. All getting tagged as a special category in the Roster and their memberships terminated in a few months as seen with the Coco and Sana graduations.
We also can figure that if said event occurred near an event like HoloFes we'd see refunds available as we after Rushia's termination.
If not the entire event being canceled and full refunds given out especially in a Mass Casualty scenario.

What happens otherwise is internal corporate things.

it's unconfirmed what actually happened, but there was that one Siny chuuba who had a sudden graduation without a final stream a month after her last stream. her last post was cancelling a stream because of some worsening sickness. rumors is that she has a terminal disease and didn't make it.

Based on previous experiences with japanese entertainers dying I think most corpos will make an announcement explaining the situation and call it day.
I'd probably try to save all the content related to her in case they decide to nuke her channel, and make sure it's always availabe for others to enjoy. Can't really do anything else, and I wouldn't be in the mood for more than that anyway.

Probably feel sad for a bit. I mean I just found out today that someone who i idolized as a kid died of suicide a couple days ago (David Jason Frank) and I'm still in shock about it. So yeah I'd probably feel even worse if something were to happen to any of the girls for that matter.
