>>37764570While the majority of threads in the catalog are hololive-based, the reception of those threads ranges from positivity, to ambivalence, to funposting, to bait. Even among the selection of threads you've picked out, only about ⅔ of them are bait or anti threads. Hololive happens to have the critical mass of attention here so naturally people are going to talk about them, good or bad.
When it comes to basically every other (non-JP) vtuber group, that range of reception is almost non-existent. If you try to make a thread being excited for a new small corpo gen, you get spammed with people calling you a shill. Just look at the posts above complaining about IdolEN, and similar complaints were made towards threads about Kawaii gen 3 and Phase gen 2 recently. If you post a thread about any small corpo at all, you're either in a race down to page 10, or some autist digs up a half-decade's worth of drama and responds to himself for 300 posts.
And god forbid you dare to post a thread about any vshojo or nijien chuuba. That's literally just asking to get hit with doxx or drama spam within 100 posts. It is functionally impossible to have a positive thread in the catalog about any nijien or vshojo unless they're getting directly tied to a HoloEN (e.g. Pomu and Kiara, or Silvervale and Ame).
And you're not going to like this either, but yes, there is bias among the meidos in that they simply do not know what is and isn't doxx for non Holo chuubas as well as they do for the Holos. So there are many, many examples of threads about indies, small corpos, and nijis where doxx either doesn't get deleted until the very end, or it just gets archived with the thread.
Basically, if you want to post about a holo in the catalog, you'll probably be fine and will be able to have a discussion, with maybe some small shitposting if the OP wasn't a bait. But if you want to post about a small corpo, you'll either get bump off or drama dumped. And niji or vshojo threads are just no go. Non Holo posters have no choice but to stick to generals.
