I mean, why graduate when she could stream once a month?

Hololive is still a very good place to earn extra money even if you don't do anything, she could even ghost her fans and they would still donate to her with really minimal effort.

What was the need to graduate?

because she was asked what is she planning to do if she isn't going to stream and said "nothing I guess" while Ayame keeps taking singing and dancing lessons, participating in events or shilling garbage.

Ayame's also always around. Lui and Korone frequently bring up that they did this or that with her and it's often tied into them having to be in the office for recording. I get the impression, true or not, that Ayame might be acting as an assistant dance coach. Sana wasn't in a position to show up at the office.

Is this bait, or are you that new? You can’t do the kind of shit Sana was doing in your FIRST YEAR. Putting aside the question of her back (because people here seem to always seethe and argue about that part when it doesn’t even matter), Cover almost certainly asked her if she was going to be able to do way more streaming and extra activities in the second year, the answer was probably no, and they decided to have her graduate so she could leave gracefully.
Ayame streamed enough early on to be an established part of the brand. Even on r*ddit the first thing everyone would mention whenever Sana was brought up was how long it had been since she’d last streamed. She was an embarrassment to Council and EN, whether or not it was due to health problems/her own fault

One of the requisites for being recruited is a minimum of 3 streams per week during 1 year. I don't know what exactly they do if a talent can't deliver that, but I guess the "mutual agreement graduation" is the most probably route.
