As a streamer I can tell you that anything is better than a completely dead chat as long as it is at least barely intelligible
Talking to the chat is SO much easier than trying to talk to the void for hours
Also some people get really depressed if they stream to seemingly nobody

If it’s a complete 1view, I usually say hello and then ask if they’re ok with waiting for other chatters or if I can keep chatting with them. Most like interacting with something outside of the void.

I stream. Just say hello. Sometimes it's nice just having someone to break up the awkward monotony. It's easier to come up with interesting things to talk about. Ask them those questions not us. You don't need to spam the chat with nonsense though, I don't understand why that would be your solution.
