The problem is that the majority of the American entertainment is mass produced in California you know, the bluest state in all of the country. The state that would rather vote for a ham sandwich than a red or independent politician no matter what.
These movies, video games, music produced in California are not only consumed all across America but is also exported to other countries and it gives a very false sense of what America is really about. Plenty of places in America where nothing but white trash lives, like Daytona, easily one of the most racist places in the country and that's just one little city in Florida out of hundreds.
Another thing that contributes to the false perception of America is social media. Most of social media was born in California too and is moderated with California politics. That's why you mostly see conservatives getting banned from Twitter and Facebook while terrorist groups from the Middle East and Antifa get away with threatening and doxxing people online. Demorats use social media as a Superpac and non-profits like the ADL and SPLC to put pressure on them toot to make them do whatever they want... Like censoring news of Hunter Biden's laptop and all the info there that points out to the Biden's family shady dealings with Ukraine and China. It's all so fucked up.
