I think she was just hired because she's a Native jap speaker that grew up in california, so chances of her being hired just because she's woke and is loyal to netflix's politics is high.

Usually these corporate vtubers are just someone who already worked for the company, possibly already in the marketing/PR department. So even if she flops she'll just go back to her desk job.

I can't imagine corporate vtubers ever catching on as a "thing" though beyond being cute mascots they can sell merch of. I'm not sure anyone wants to watch a corporate livestream but branding them as something closer to Mickey Mouse or Gordon Gecko would be a good call.

Didn't help that her dress is uninspired black and has 3 N's on it for no reason. Yes, it's suppose to be that Netflix logo you see at the start of videos but the design aesthetic of it was lazily put there. I prefer Obake Pam for my company mascot vtuber.
