Except you’re assuming cover doesn’t take a cut of memberships which they might, and you’re also making an arbitrary percentage for cover which would likely be greater… then don’t forget the fact that the government also gets a nice 30-40 percent cut after the fact… and even with all that in mind… a drop in income sucks regardless of how much you earn… even if she makes 1 million dollars, if her revenue cuts in half, she’d still have to make some lifestyle changes which still sucks, that would likely mean downsizing across every aspect of your life

She doesn’t get shit until that’s paid back, and merch sales aren’t free you have to pay to make them so it’s mostly recouping costs, plus Cover holds her contract so she gets the same cut after the label gets theirs.
