Usually people leave in droves when reading starts (which is fair, typically they can go for ages and its mostly just thank yous) but astonishgly, in Kiara's streams 7-9,000 people stay to watch.
I think it just goes back to one of Kiara's strengths as a communicator. That genki energy. She goes off on so many random tangents, you either learn a lot of new things about her personality or lifestyle, or get some hilarious clippable yabai moments, stories about interactions with other senpais, exclusive hints about upcoming collabs - the list goes on. It can also be sad when Kiara opens up about her fears and doubts, and then the stream becomes wholesome and supportive.
In other words she's just a great talker and you nailed it about that feeling of goofing off with a friend (or scolding her for streaming 7+ hours without rest lol.)
