I know "Korone is actually scary" is a big meme, but consider where it came from, which is her proposing 'taking yubis' as a greeting and one of her first ideas for fun content being torture devices, among other things, while she is supposed to portray a cute bakery dog girl. Because those things are fun and cute to her, that's her normal.
I'm not saying she is some secret badass, but in Japan (and you can probably guess way) it's not bad to have someone like that on staff 'just in case'. And if it's someone who doesn't look like it, it's even better.
