To twitter troons, the liberal idea of nijisanji is much more important than the actual content. This is why when tempiss came along you could see hordes twitter accounts with niji profile pics and pronouns in their bios supporting the homos. They were a means of attacking the conservative side of the equation. Incidentally, this is why tempiss have the same problem with more twitter/reddit engagement than viewers.
Note: I'm not trying to be tribal, this doesn't apply to all nijifans, just the western twitter ones.
