She has dozen hours of documented boyfriend interactions on her streams etc. This is not like some other talents where the issue can simply be swept under the rug rather easily by just deleting a few years-old incriminating tweets etc., and I'm not sure that either she (or Hololive) want to open that can of worms.
Sure, she may qualify otherwise (great singer, streaming experience, etc.), but there are also dozens of other potential applicants with similar skills, but without the boyfriend baggage, who'd rather get the spot.
