And you know what? I was partly wrong, she's not referencing a poem by the same name from Gottfried Keller, who is far more obscure, but rather one from Hermann Hesse, who is quite a bit more well known (albeit not that one story, at least in the german speaking parts of the world). Hermann Hesse was also German/Swiss though.
Anyway, it's about a boy that collects butterflies and the like and has a snobby neighbour who flaunts his superior collection over him, leading to an incident later on where the boy steals his neighbours new prized posession and later on returns it in shame, upon which the snob says what Polka said in the video (something to the effect of "so I see you're that kind of fellow").
