>>3861249>That’s not the point. The streamer should still be blamed for their own performance, regardless of the game (buff or not), and even no game at all. Otherwise it’s endless excuses. That’s stupid. There could be more than one reason why people might now watch a streamer play a certain game. Sure the streamer might be entertaining and you may like them but to see that first the person watching must click the said video. The reason could be that, like RE8, that people don’t want to watch it cause they hope to play the game themselves to avoid spoilers. Gura was streaming Re8 but I did not watch her, nor anyone else, because I knew I was going to buy the game and knowing the type of game it was being story driven in a way, I avoided it. No amount of entertainment or effort by the streamer would matter if the viewer does not want to engage. Also, you have to take into consideration the time the streamer does. Mori, her time, she tend to stream at really late night or mornings close to early or afternoon which people might not be able to make due to sleep schedule. Kiara was the same before during her Japanese time, where she was getting lower views because it was toward Japanese time rather than EOP so of course her viewer numbers were lower unless she was specifically catering to the JOPs.
I won’t deny it is the duty of the streamer to be entertaining whatever the game is, but there are factors that just doesn’t mesh regardless. You can be the funniest and most entertaining man on the planet but if nobody has time for you it won’t matter your skills.
Also, buffs and debuffs are a very real thing. Certain games that just came out will of course catch people’s attention more if they’re interested and old games that no one cares or know about anymore will be, surprise, make it so no one cares since before clicking on the video the first thing you see is the title name and thumbnail that will swim around in your mind of should I or should I not watch this, and the second is who you’ll be watching it from.
