What was with Salome's meteoric growth, and utter stagnation, /vt/? I've never seen such a wild seesaw in channel growth.

All the attention of a full wave got concentrated into a solo debut. That and she is actually good, but now all the hype viewers left so she's left with those who would've regularly watched her anyway.

Also I wouldn't really call her "stagnating" considering that she came in late in the vtubing industry, there are a lot more chuubas to watch, and the entire world is in a state that is a debuff for streamers.

Viewbots memes aside, she got a lot initial buzz for being the first Niji JP debut in a while and for being a solo debut instead of the usual wave dump, then tried to meme her into 1M subs, then after she got 1M subs people realized there wasn't really anything particularly interesting about her and just left.

For a niji female she's overperforming even now. The insane debut numbers were a mix of tourists not knowing if she was a joke/some other niji in disguise/a famous seiyuu, IPO bots, natural viral moments like the endoscopy, unique kayfabe, and S Tier design.
