>>38689464I don't think Cover is lacking people sending their auditions, they just don't want to debut a new Hololive EN gen for whatever godforsaken reason. It's insane to believe no one has Hololive as one of their options when auditions season starts, the agency is still tied with Nijisanji as the biggest overall and a lot of EN vtubing was influenced by Myth, whether you want it or not. The problem is that Cover is unable to schedule releases at a consistent rate, so while they're definitely receiving auditions for at least both JP and EN branches (I don't know if ID has open auditions) it means fuck all when nobody knows when they'll debut. And by consistent I don't mean 32 members withing 19 months, but a little more than 11 (now 10) in 2 years and a half. Fucking HoloJP had 23 members around the same time, and if we compare at the time when the first Holostars Gen came out they had 16 (INNK was already a think with Suisei and AZKi but I'm pretty sure they barely interacted with the main branch until late 2019, so I'm not counting them), with Rushia and Pekora debuting shortly thereafter. It's not that other agencies are more attractive, it's just that betting on joining Hololive is a huge risk because it might as well only happen a year and a half later.
