They are basically people who feel social anxiety that want to be included in the popular thing. So they hitch their horse to the biggest wagon. They are so utterly obsessed with numbers, when Youtube tries to crack down on bot accounts they fly into an apoplectic rage because the precious numbers are lower on the screen.
