I also have many other vtubers I'd rather Kiara collab with, mostly JPs of course, but even the few western vtubers that are "4chan approved" (like /wvt/ thread favorites) are mostly so small that Kiara wouldn't even know they exist (see for example the fact that Kiara most likely came about Vei by way of clips, so it's natural that only the most popular ENtubers get flushed upstream her timeline and reach her radar). So for better or worse, so far that's the only potential out there, until some other "better" english vtubers reach a sufficient level.
Is it risky? Sure, I wouldn't take that risk myself either, but our chikin is nothing if not a risk taker, which is one of those things that's so love-it-or-hate-it polarizing about her. Now, I'm a fan because I like her content and personality, and as long as that doesn't change, I don't see a reason to stop being a fan just because of a collab with a person I'm not a fan of (I'm mostly ambivalent on Vshojo as a whole/ Veibae specifically. I don't like them, obviously, but I'm not on the hate level as some other anons who go into a seething rage about them. I mostly just simply avoid them and don't let it bother me further). And I don't see Kiara changing her own onstream content or personality either, just because of contact with Vei, like I don't think she'd suddenly also start talking about how many dicks she sucked or whatever (and for what it's worth, it's already a meme how much "poop funni" humor she has, but she isn't going to start playing fart noises on stream either)
If it stays most likely as one collab, or just a few and far between, I can deal with that - I'll watch the first one to see how it turns out (did the whore behave? did my chimken have fun?) and let that inform my opinion instead of just being already pre-angry by my prejudiced biases. If it turns out shit, sure, I won't watch any further, but then again I also wouldn't have to because Cover would shut it down and that's the last we've heard of it.
Now as for the Vei-specific complaint (as opposed to the Vshojo-general complaint that they're all too vulgar, or political, or whatever) that she slandered Hololive in that clip, I see two possibilities.
Either Cover/Kiara hasn't seen it (but looking at how many anons bragged about tweeting/reporting that to them, it's probably unlikely?) or they have seen it and STILL don't find that too disqualifying enough (or maybe they already cleared that up privately), so then I'm like ok if it doesn't seem to bother them, why should I let it bother me? (I'm generally not the type to entertain the thought of "getting offended on behalf of others", because that's kinda SJW-mentality).
I'm also not really sure what exactly I should be worried about that Vei is a manipulative snake. Like okay, maybe she is, but make it concrete what actually is the worst that could happen instead of nebulous doomposting? The most obvious thing is that Vei simply wants to leech, sure whatever, if that's all there is to it, that's just how the social media / entertainment industry game works. If it's just that, it's not the end of the world (also, again, helps to ensure that they'll stay on their best behavior, as to not get cut off from any more future leeching opportunities). But anything else? For example, I don't have enough vivid schizo imagination to conjure up any further nefarious motives, for example that this is all just a calculated ploy to either manipulate Kiara OUT of her Hololive position (as if they could do that, and even then, for what purpose?), or for Vei to manipulate herself IN to a Hololive spot (yeah uhh, can't see that happening either, for obvious reasons). So I'm not sure what I should be too afraid about here, maybe you can help (asking honestly), if it's not just nebulous doomposting how "they will destroy Kiara/Hololive!! I don't know how exactly, but that's what they'll do, you will see, so get angry with me already even before it happens!!".
