>>3893048It's not just "suffering from success", that's a pretty reductionist way to look at it. It's years or decades worth of society tearing her down and destroying her self-esteem followed by the seeming contradiction of having hundreds of thousands of fans that love her when she spent the first 20+ years of her life completely alone in all likelihood. Maybe she was even bullied considering fat kids are much rarer and much more openly shamed in Asia for being a community burden.
This isn't Elon Musk pretending he was bullied in school as an excuse to flex his ego on the internet. It's a girl that is still invisible in the real world and has to struggle with keeping her mentality in check when interacting online.
It's probably tempting for her to try to get more "intimate" with her fans because she's lonely and needy, but it hurts her to know that she not only can't do that but they wouldn't want to see her that way in the first place, even as much as they pretend to.
It's like having a billion dollars in some shitty crypto that can't be cashed, completely worthless in the grand scheme but when you're desperate it just rubs salt in the wound and feels like society is playing a cruel joke on you.
I'm probably just projecting though.
