ok and? she was just angry from menopause and lied, sure, but take into account how many voice acting jobs they get per year. then they have to live off that as a full time job, its not enough. most voice actors do it as side jobs. and she was a theatre actor full time with voice acting as a side job, herself, and had no clue about how video games worked (she thought bayonetta was a 3 billion franchise or something).
so many they dont get "paid shit" I concede that but they just dont get enough work to give up a vtubing job for.

Nah some people just need connections or a claim to fame. Quite a few youtubers have done voice work despite probably having limited training. Though if the Umisea animations was any indication they need some practice.

I'm looking at the numbers for holos that were former VAs and being a holo is much more valuable than being a small-mid VA by 1 or 2 orders of magnitude. I think only being a top VA and an industry veteran is more lucrative than being a popular vtuber.

The Bayonetta lady isn't going to see another job for a few months if at all, and that's before she got caught in a lie. She's also a decently well known va which gives her opportunities most don't get. Koyori can potentially make that much every weekend, to say nothing of what she earns during her regular streams plus whatever sponsorships she's a part of. On the other hand she's an unknown in voice work and is contractually forbidden from using her Hololive persona outside of official Cover events.

Koichi Yamadera apparently failed two auditions recently, and with more competition for VAs than in the past, the number of people who can make a living from VAs alone is more limited than in the past.

Many people do not care about the voice of a particular character, so the production team can easily change it. If the VA of Goku (who is not well-liked in the West) were to be replaced in Japan for any reason other than health reasons or death, it would spell the end of Dragon Ball's anime popularity.
