And also they just hire anybody at this point. I swear it's like the only requirements are that you're 18 or older, and that you can speak English, it doesn't even have to be fluent English. They choose some of the worst personalities for streaming and some of them try too hard to be funny

The niji model never worked for JPs and will absolutely not work for ENs. You could already notice the viewerbase stretching thin when they released Ethyria.
If you have 5 streamers people will watch 4. If you have 10 streamers people will watch 2.

YT has been culling their subcount something fierce compared to prior waves, but it also doesnt help that Iluna was so rough and NijiEN has been in a mostly drama-state before this that it nearly killed all interest in the new wave.
And its sad because the girls are actually decent this time around. It helps that the girls are far cuter or more entertaining to listen to compared to and are the best since Obsydia I didn't watch any of the dudes so I cant comment, just a shame they stream at JP/Aussie/SEA friendly times only.
