>>3896767>what draws you to them? For me its mostly the comedic moments, and the "real" moments. To me the core of the soul is hit by comedy, because it can let true personalities and experiences come out without making anyone feel wrong or strange in a way that turns you away. Which is why I mainly watch people like Pekora, Marine, Ame, Polka, etc etc. And the real moments that just let these girls transcend the character and really allow themselves to shine, ie Towa singing Pallette for the first time is honestly one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful performances to date.
>What do you look for when it comes to quality? They need to be entertaining, I know thats a bit of a nebulous answer but, its very obvious just from this board alone who is more often than not entertaining. They also need to not come off as TOO fake, the viewer, hell humans in general can tell when someone is acting / faking something, its why some actors are praised so much, obviously these girls arent actors, let alone good ones to mask that, so its important to let their true selves shine or viewers may see them as too "cautious" or too "tryhard"
>What do they do frequently that you look forward to? I look forward to stuff like singing streams, their own specialized streams , talking streams, stuff outside of video games. I like video games but, Im more into playing them myself.
>Is there a language you prefer when looking for one to frequent? English or Japanese if I can help it
>Anything in particular you feel is important that I haven't mentioned?Vtubers (I know I stuck to hololive but thats mostly because those are the ones you'll run into mostly in the wild), are to me a lot like any fandom, wrestling, anime, ponies, comics, while the hobby itself is fun and the girls even more so, it also does give a lot of people something to socialize over, something to bond over. In other words its just an excuse to make friends.
In conclusion I dont particularly see it as cynically as a parasocial relationship while there are points to it, I mostly see this as any other hobby I am into, just something to make friends with and have in the background while I work.
