>>39229121Going public would likely result in gens getting shoved out somewhat quicker, just to pump that infinite growth machine that shareholders love, and MAYBE make management slightly more hawkish over yabs that look bad on the company. Otherwise I don't see it changing anything about their hiring and management practices in any meaningful way, until/unless things get truly fucked. Which as incompetent as they are, isn't really something I see happening in any immediate timeline.
Most of my list is me rattling off annoyances, sure, but as shit as Omega and EN management in general are, the biggest problem still mostly lies with JP itself; that being them just not getting more gens out the door. Since they have several gens now, the JP side can afford to take it slow with gen debuts and avoid "diluting" their brand, which I think is the main reason why they slowed to a crawl, because Yagoo and co. don't really appreciate that they kind of aren't the same actual brand. There's always a JP actually streaming, they can get multiple niches filled, and there's more collab opportunities, which is the biggest thing that hurt EN. Genuinely, I feel like everyone who talks about this shit really underrates the effect that:
1. EN basically being collab limited to themselves, IN, and (awkwardly) JP every once in a while
and 2. EN having largely nonexistent-to-dogshit chemistry and/or ability to just converse with each other without being spergs,
hurt basically everything. The fact of the matter is that people just fucking love collabs, when they're good. Sure, they'll all get their dedicated audience that will join their favorite holo's paint drying watchalong because it's """comfy,""" but outside of horny shit or Korone yelling in broken english, nothing drives moments that people clip, talk about, stay engaged with, etc. more than banter and antics and even shipping between multiple people. It drives numbers that a lot of Holos, including JPs, just would not be able to sustain on their own.
It's why like Takamori fucking somehow succeeded in being a thing despite also being one of the most awkward and obviously forced bits ever created, or how fans tried making Amesame a thing until whoever involved sperged out and decided to quash it. Council improved on this issue only marginally, and you could see it with like people calling Gura an honorary member of Council, because she just so much more obviously gets along better with them and actively engaged in collabs. But it's still not enough, and for obvious reasons Tempiss wasn't really a solution either.
