I think its safe to say we aren't going to get a VR gen/group collab.
Individual holiday stream, maybe a duo collab? Yeah. Anything more than that, and you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Ame is too busy with her own birthday this year. She said she will start with full Hololive events again in April, most likely the April Fools.

I can't keep track of who is on break/ill at this point but I think it is safe to assume that there will be no big group christmas thing at the very least, maybe they will cobble something together for NYE but I imagine a good chunk of them would rather spend that day with friends/family too, maybe we will get a kino ameoke

This. There is no civil war over Tempus since Fauna and IRyS had no problem with the Halloween collab. Myth was having issues this winter but there is still a chance of an off collab.

I don't care for group collabs, especially VR ones, but I remember being excited during big holidays because everyone would have stuff planned and at least pretended they cared. The magic is dead now though and I don't feel any excitement anymore and I know my oshi probably won't even stream on Christmas.

as a christmas topic, i really don't like the pressure girls have about doing a stream on christmas because it feels like it's to "prove" they don't have a partner or to capitalize on the lonely ones. Whatever choice they make is going to look bad (having the best intentions). for westerners who celebrate Christmas, the 24th is a busy day making dinner and being with family anyway and that's why streams on that day will probably have less viewership.

Well, merry xmas to you too. Last year's event was a bit of a mess, but it was still fun to watch. A comfy zatsudan for a couple of hours would have been more than enough, but even asking that is too much I guess.
