>>39344349I do think a major issue with art criticism online is that people don't really have a well defined or consistent standard of what's good or bad outside of "If I like it, it's good, if I don't like it, it's shit,". This isn't inherently bad, you don't have to have a super deep reason to like or dislike something, but in a discussion about the quality of something, not going any further than something like "It has autotune so it's bad," comes off as shallow, and may be mistaken as coming from the wrong place
and if the reaper really does lurk here sometimes, that level of criticism doesn't really help at all to take into consideration with future projects
