Pineapple on pizza is not “bad” per se, but the reason it’s even a topic of debate is pizza is a ubiquitous and familiar dish where picky eaters (poor people) will finally branch out and “expand” their palate. When in reality pineapple on pizza is typically overkill like some shitty greasy throw every single type of meat style of pizza. Pineapple is an absolute acid bomb, in a dish where a main ingredient is the tomato.
Now sometimes you want something overly acidic or sweet, like one might want 9 meats on a pizza. But it’s the exact opposite of having a refined palate, it’s childish (which coincidentally is why popular with children and manchildren who make it a topic of debate)
