>stopped going to school aged 12 completely after years of almost-non attendance
>her only friend during this time was an adult woman who was a lesbian and essentially groomed her for years before abandoning her around the time she became a teenager
>her school was a shitty one in a crappy area and they didn't care, but eventually a social worker made her go to court where she signed something swearing she would return to school
>she didn't and apparently they did nothing
>slipped through the system, kept seeing social workers but ultimately never went back to school or had any kind of education
>starts making anime ASMR aged 15
>decides to become a VTuber years later after one of her closest friends gives her a big push
>her closest friend suddenly joins a huge corpo before she debuts, leaving her alone, she has a schizo meltdown
>her mom is diagnosed with late stage cancer around this time
>looking after her siblings mostly by herself, she continues preparing for debut and announces it
>3 days before debut her grandfather gets COVID and gives it to her entire family
>she postpones debut a month because she's getting really sick
>he dies
>she gets COVID so badly that she now has breathing difficulties a year on, has to use an inhaler, deals with frequent pain, and her doctor said that her left lung sounds like a smoker's (she was unvaccinated since she doesn't leave her house often)
>pays for the entire funeral herself since she's the only person who works in their whole family, says he was her father and the only man she'll ever see that way
>stops taking her meds at one point to hallucinate his voice
>now that her grandfather passed away she has to shoulder all of the family of 7's bills because her mom has cancer and her grandmother is retired, and everyone else is a child
>on the night of her grandfather's funeral, she finds a woman online with a litter of kittens
>she decides to adopt one
>things looking good, she treats the cat like a child, spoils him, buys him everything he could ever want with her new VTubing income
>still not fully recovered from COVID about 6 months later she comes down with pneumonia and almost fucking dies because she refuses to go to a hospital and kept trying to stream despite sounding like a corpse, eventually her family intervenes and makes her go
>during her recovery, her cat fucking eats a few hair ties while her siblings are supposed to be watching him
>turns out he needs a surgery, surgeon says it's minor and he'll be fine
>he makes it through the surgery
>next day he fucking dies
>apparently the vet looking after him left him alone for hours and gave him a medication Shadow told them he is allergic to
>grieving, her grandmother begs her not to kill herself
>hour long stream in which she sobs nonstop the whole time to update everyone that she won't be able to stream until she feels better
>speaks to a lawyer because she wants the vet to lose her job, the lawyer tells her she can sue them but all that will happen is they get is the worth of the cat in cash, she decides not to go through with it because she "doesn't care, just wants her to not be able to hurt anyone else"
>3 weeks later she returns to streaming with a lore video to thank everyone for supporting her
Things have been looking good for her for a while, she has a new cat who is the brother of the other cat after the breeder begged her to take him, her mom has been in remission but apparently her cancer might be back, waiting on scan results, which could lead to another awful arc. She's blown up numberswise and a few months ago she held a subathon in which her fanbase raised 30k towards buying the house her family has been renting for years so that she can convert the garage into a bedroom (she currently shares the bedroom with two of her kid siblings which makes streaming rough) the thing I love about Shondo is she always bounces back, no matter what, always keeps going.
