your fanbase is just composed of a large section of lonely people who have shitty and unimpressive lives, and by extension, even shittier and less impressive holidays
you are the element of joy and interaction in said shitty lives, so being their company when they're at their lowest compared to the "normal society" is just a sign of good will and appreciation
if you just go to live your life, don't expect those wretched people to have understanding or appreciation for that in turn - they were not granted any, so they will just give you their anger and disappointment, reflecting the anger and disappointment they hold against society at large
