Meloco sing nice and is funny. But I don't like Luca very much so that's half her collabs gone for me.

Kotoka and Zaion are cool enough. They have their flaws, but they fit in well and are already developing a solid fanbase. Meloco had a great PL and has the talent and personality needed to succeed but threw it all away to chase after dick on stream. Doppio and Ver are alright and can be entertaining in collabs but are very much female-oriented vtubers. Hex is possibly the worst hire in the branch and that's saying something.

He was like 2.5k for mortuary assistant, he's just more concerned with playing shit he's interested in over buff games. Though honestly he's kind of niche, too much focus on gameplay and minimal pandering for people looking for BFE, and his mannerisms will probably put off some male viewers that can't swallow cringekino. Personally I think his dedication to his kayfabe is hilarious and his taste in games is great, it's also refreshing to have a vtuber playing games they know well and are good at instead of obsessing over first reaction (or faking one like half of them do with popular shit). I'm an obsydiafag and he's my favourite new talent they've released since Rosemi.

hopefully he never devolves to this. one of the things i appreciate the most about him is how open and genuine he is with his delight over games.

pandering, i dont mind either way, since at the end of the day, this is still a job. i do hope he's able to maintain genre separation across streams and enforce it on his chat, so that we dont have a repeat of what's happening in certain other people's streams.

If he didn't do it for Inscryption I doubt he'll do it for anything else. Act 1 is pretty gameplay focused but the rest of the game is structured like a horror ARG/creepypasta and he already copped to having played it before. Seems like he wants his streams to be more of a showcase of games he enjoys rather than react-style content anyway.

His chat's incredibly well-behaved for a nijiman's chat so it has been kind of nice. Minimal emoji spam, sackbeating, attention whoring, lots of discussion about the games and joking around with him, they even usually save SCs for the end to not distract him too much from gameplay. You can't really maintain that with a higher viewcount so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Nah I agree with you, a lot of fans are just dumbass consoomers conditioned to that kind of content. It's occasionally fun like Pomu's MGS series because of how invested she got in it but in general I think it's way more entertaining when the streamer can actually properly showcase the game and their skills. Doppio actually takes advantage of it too by preparing little skits like his schizo lore drop in Star Fetchers to go with a certain scene in the game or using the xsoleil soundboard for the death cards in Inscryption.

Thanks, you've put into words what I've been struggling to get out. I like it when the streamer actually prepares for the stream. Not that they have to have an extravagant skit or whatever prepared for it, but being able to host the gameplay properly should be basic. First-time-playthroughs are nice when the streamer's able to showcase the game to the audience, but to do it for most of your content is kinda.. eh. I think you've made me realize what it is that I appreciate about Doppio's streams so much.
