I personally believe she hadn't turned that way, but with everyone wanting her to kill herself and the dox posting, she had no choice but to join "the other side". she corroborates this story in her "apology" video.

The anger an hostility was a product of the time, and if it happened today, I bet it wouldn't have been a big deal. Only people with the right to be upset are those that were actually there. Most of the anger is coming from newfags who weren't there living through the memories of the people who were.
