And they'll never be Niji because at least half of the current members will not agree with it, and creating an actual tension inside the company with your employees doesn't sound like a good idea.

My question is why they're doing this now, after years of Hololive and Holostars being their own thing and interactions being on a talent by talent basis. Also Miayabi said himself that the units were chosen by management, and while his pov is from the Holostars side it's hard to think things would be much different for the Hololive one, so the decision of shoving a collab part in the middle of the show was most likely "suggested" by management for those who are fine with it and not an idea that came from the members themselves.
