I was a Day 1 Kronii who caught every stream live and I can explain this with honesty and clarity. It's true that a lot of Kronii's defenders are on the spreadsheet but honestly it does go further than that. There was only one person who could be considered close to a "Unicorn", at least going by the feedback on the community post, (Aliaga Ayin) and even then he was closer to the definition that's thrown around here which is "anyone I don't like so I will also call them incel" as opposed to the original Japanese definition.
What really killed Kronii was the unarchived member stream that she did where she read the comments on the community post, said she understood the concerns, said she would not initiate collabs, would not interact with them in public, and would not interact with them on twitter. She also said she wouldn't stream her perspective in collabs. If you can, I would recommend watching the whole stream but since I know people are lazy, I just have a clip here.
https://files.catbox.moe/8684g7.mp4 Seriously though it's worth it, especially where she reads the comments, it felt like she was really validating the concerns of her members instead of just dismissing them as incels. Now some people were still slightly unhappy that she wasn't going to swear off male collabs entirely but at this point she had explained herself and what she was going to do and people who weren't down with that were free to leave. Then she immediately did pic related and left for an extended period of time. When she came back, she said she was immediately taking back everything she had said, there would be no further discussion about it, and the Hololive official account tweeted that thing about protecting their talents at the same time. So basically she lied to her members, went back on her words without explaining herself, and hid behind Cover's skirts. The people who had felt understood at the time of the unarchived members now saw that she was siding with the people who had called them losers and incels. The "do you not have female friends" quote could have been passed as a once off, but with this people were betrayed and hurt.
Kronii was a mediocre streamer, and still is, but people were willing to forgive that because of the personal touch, the way she would read people and interact with them. It's like how parents will praise their kid's objectively shitty artwork and post it on the refrigerator. It sucks but it comes from someone who is dear to them. The fact that she took the time to read the complaints on the community post that most would have ignored really endeared her to a lot of us, which made it all the more brutal when she immediately backtracked and said she wasn't going to talk about it anymore.
