I used to work at a drug store, so I have been taught stuff by pharmacists, and multivitamins are a great supplement for people to take. The average persons diet doesn't get them nearly enough of the vitamins and minerals that the body needs. Sure the extra stuff that you already do consume through your diet will pass out your excrement, but the stuff that doesn't (and there are a lot of things that people don't get normally) will vastly improve your quality of life. So taking a multivitamin, echinacea to boost your immune system around flu season (which is the only thing that does this, don't fall for advertising), and if you don't eat enough foods that contain it, omega 3, is recommended.
