Even if at other times looked past it or intervened. It would be a sad moment but she knows better than anyone that death isn't always an awful thing. It's the end of one story and the start of another.
For this story, Watson's clearly taking on traits from all the others. I don't think immortality would be one tough. Neither is it something she would want. Then there's the big question of can she just live multiple times using the watch? Travel back to some point and give it to herself as a child along with a bunch of the things she learned that time around.

For most souls, a single slice instantly releases it. I've read some other things where Mori could do it slowly and gradually using a spell. In case she wanted to speak to the person or make it feel like they were just falling asleep.
