i was writing a wall of text and the thread just died...
>>40314430let me make a level headed post about this, point by point:
>The bigger the team, the less unity it hasunity is a double edged sword
when it was just Myth, it was a close knit team of 5 so organizing things together was easy and fun
now there's double the amount, and every full collab is a slog to put together
and if you leave someone out shitposters jump out immediately to ask "WHERE'S X" "DO THEY HATE X" "X HATES HOLOLIVE"
if it was just /here/, that'd be okay but as evidenced by the recent offcollab arc it reaches the girls (IRyS) too
having a wider group at this point would make for more dynamics like in JP, where you can mix and match members for large collabs without anyone ever feeling "left out"
> Yes, some ENs have burned out and aren't streaming anymore but most of them are still with us, just give them your attention.this is a problem. You can't just brush off "oh well our top streamers are burning out, just watch the rest" because eventually that'll happen for everyone and EN will just die
if you look at JP, lots of the more veteran holos stream less and less, but, thanks to the younger ones who keep the audience engaged while they're gone, they can focus more of their energy towards big project, stuff that is different from the daily grind of streaming and can keep you from burning out entirely
take Marine for example, she cut her streaming output considerably in 2022, but thanks to all her amazing concerts, songs, and collabs, she managed to grow more than any other Holo bar newly debuted ID3
this wouldn't be possible if her being gone meant an entire timeslot would remain empty/covered by maybe one other Holo (like it happened to Ina and early evening EST)
additionally the ones that remain, since there are so few, feel the pressure to fill the gaps
Kiara, the most consistent streamer of EN, expressed this while sick: since HoloEN was so sparsely populated, she felt pressured to stream and eventually cut her health break as short as possible while still churning out content while sick
this isn't healthy, and having more members allow the more veteran streamers to relax a bit more
tl;dr: Unity is already unsustainable in the sense we thought of in 2020-21, and streamers burning out is really bad, and more ENs can help prevent that
