>>4048262Probably because the way japanese is structured verbally is pretty straight forward and in english it can be a guessing game due to that fact that (most) letters in a word in japanese are 1 syllable (i.e. "yubi" is 2 letters and 2 syllables) and in english whole words can be 1 syllable (i.e. "mouth"). English sentences also have more to them. That's why you hear asian people speaking english like "I go library". They also like to shorten their sentences even more in Japanese. For instance in english you would say "does anyone know where Mark is?" and in Japanese they would literally just say "Mark wa?". Japanese is relatively easy to learn verbally, it's the written part that's a mess.
