Having to stick with the 5-trope anime character and not evolve it further, having to seek approval for any content outside of the usual, etc.They don't necessarily have to stick with the character, and if they do, for the most part it's because they chose to. I would say that they are part-streamer/part-actor.
As for the approval of certain content, yeah that's a fair criticism. As long as there isn't anything that could trigger YouTube, mess with advertisers get to close to RL, any kind of content is fine.

The chat is way too different, I can't tell Twitch is just cringe. And the content is mostly watching a guy/girl only reacting to things. I can't explain it , but it just hits different.
And I also don't like things like the "Youtuber/Anituber/whatever community"
