Her drive to try and make her fans happy is put nicely in balance with doing what makes her happy and what she joined for, being an idol. She knew of Hololive since at least 2019 and watched Pekora a lot in early 2020 before applying and joining.
People don't like her 'lesbian' schtick because they don't see the average JP Hololiver interact with anyone else and are basing it purely on what happens in the EN sphere and it pisses them off.
As for actual critisims, I'd say Kiara can be a bit hard headed which leads to her pidgeonholing herself occasionally. On top of that, her tomezone excuse can get irritating sometimes. I don't expect her to constantly stay up until 3 or 4am her time to be able to stream with genmates, but she frequently is up until even 5am laying in be watching streams or netflix, so occasionally doing a stream late night wouldn't kill her. She tried many times to reach out to EN for collab streams and has all but given up because they either don't respond or want it to be at a terrible time for her so she stopped asking and is now waiting for others to ask her. With Ame seemingly having no real drive to push for big group stuff, Kiara is the only one left who cares enough to try, re:Holo Advent Calender.
She also sometimes lets out her frustratiins on the backend of the streaming process/conversations she has with genmates and it can come off as a little callous. This one was purely meant as an 'I found my spark again' post but can easily be misconstrued as 'the others in my gen are lazy'. The problem is that because she's often open with her feelings about the back end stuff, you get statements like 'I feel like I can't take a break because you guys (EN fans) won't have anything to watch' coupled with this tweet and it's instant rrat city.
I love Kiara because she's so open, but can easily play a character and banter on stream (via the Marine and Korone streams) and she's always been that way.
