>>40724466This was just a summary of the events for information purposes. Reality is of course more complicated. I will give you now a full detail of how the diplomatic crisis came to be.
As with the fall of many empires, the spark is always something completely that seems completely inconsequential. In this case it all began because an animated twitch emote called "wiggly".
Much of this actually happened within /trash/ itself so no side has a complete picture of the events since cross boarders are rare. History of course is always mudded in mystery so we might never know what actually happened, but I will do my best attempt.
1- "Wigglyanon" appears in both /aco/ and /vsj+/, seems to be an ironmouse fan.
https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S8586124#p8589968 (*not his first post)
Wigglygenetics from /vtwgb/ seem to imply this was actually a /tsun/ expat, check
https://rentry.org/invisiblekingdomoftsunderia for more details
-2 Some months after his first appearance, and after a custom wiggly was made for her from said anon
https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S9759464#p9795933 Ironmouse "mysteriously" notices wigglies, falls in love with them.
https://clips.twitch.tv/StormyTriangularDonutPMSTwin-T0ipMRHkFyyuvXgS 3- Ironmouse probably traces the source to Nemu, apparently asks for one for her and one for Bubi. Nemu does not confirm this is true but a mod shouted her during the stream so it is 100% likely it was from her
4- Nemu is herself rarely discussed on /vsj+/ but news are brought back to /trash/ about the events. The taunting, which has been going for a while, goes out of control:
https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/44088762/#44095475 5- This goes back an forth for quite some time, tensions increase due to mostly complains about the state of their thread back then, and are made worse by the accusations of an indie called Yozo who called /wvt/ basically a den of groomers and then saying you will never incline if you post there. Some of this anger towards Yozo will even figure in the very first /lig/ thread.
https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S17100098#p171009266- A moriposter shouts basically "fuck her and vsj+, remake /wvt/ with only the chuubas that inclined" (or something of the sort, I don't remember and I can't find the archives) This creates some controversy as expected.
7 - The possibility of a new thread is debated but nothing comes out of it. "They should just come here" seems to be the general consensus.
8- A little down the road, apparently acting independently, Nemuposter appears in /vsj+/
https://warosu.org/vt/thread/S17096053#p17100423 and makes the first /lig/ thread.
It is not known how influenced he was from the previous trash debate, but he would also go down to lower /wvt/ to also promote the general.
https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/45002729/#q45He mentions as one of his motivations being sick of the taunting described in 4- and wanting a better place to shill bigger indies.
9- Despite much opposition from both threads, Nemuposter succeeds in rallying enough people to sustain the thread, thanks most likely to two events: First, The Veibae - Shylily war. Shylily could not be discussed properly in /vsj+/ because she was not a proper plus: being hated by a vshojo is the opposite of being a friend of the thread.
Her sudden ascension meant that the biggest vtuber in the indie scene had no home to be discussed with. Second, because of the low morale in /vsj+/ due to eternal schizo raids and boyfriend reveals. The rest is history.
I did witness much of this myself, and I can tell you: even if Nemu was perhaps only briefly mentioned twice, it was the spark that started the fire that would turn into /lig/. This very conflict was reflected in the first divegrass match, with "I will take care of Nemu" against "No, I will be the one taking care of Nemu" as medals in /wvt/ and /lig/ respectively.
