>>40981329Alright, sorry for this being all long but it's a very important thing to me and I am a very frank person, and am very passionate about the things I care about.
There's two sides to it and a third personal kinda of business I want to work on, the first is to create a Table Top RPG system and setting with one of my brothers from another mother. He has incredible historical and mythological knowledge, a great mastery of game systems, and meticulous attention to detail. As a DM, every location and city you could think of has a history, geographical profile, climate, cities have their functionalities and specialties, local customs, deities, favorite foods, languages, etc. We want to make a system that encompasses a lot of his houserules as well as ideas we've come up with and seen from various games, along side a core setting, but for the system to be adaptable to other genres for future OG content, and our goal is for it to be completely open outside our source books for anyone who wants to make iterative content, similar to the spirit of Gygaxian D&D.
The second side is the bigger dream that encompasses all of our passions. We want to make video games. The TTRPG system above will be the source setting for our major project, and our first game that we are planning on creating is a tactical RPG within the setting. Eventually we want to franchise outwards if it's successful, or keep iterating on ideas if we don't see the initial success. We have known each other since our teenage years, met through Warcraft 3 for the oldest guard, and some of the later members of our friend group through other video games and D&D games.
Some of the various members of the group have met in person, but this year we're all going on a trip to Osaka to visit our friend who is studying in Japan, and hang out together and meet for real for those that haven't met in person. We also plan another future trip next year in Comiket season, for our Tokyo/otaku super trip.
The third project I'm going to keep quiet one because it's more personal, but it has to do with my experience with 3D modelling and rigging, and video editing/film skills. I was already going on this path slowly after being tired of being a wagie for so long, and the same goes for my friends (many of whom are programmers, accountants, etc), but once the algorithm pointed me to Rosemi, I started watching more and more and, I never felt more inspired to work harder to achieve my dreams in my life. I want to spread the happiness she, and my friends have given me to the rest of the world, through my works.
All I can say is... Don't let your dreams stay dreams, rosebuds.
