>>40765076ranked from most secure / least suffering if they didn't get into Holo
>InaEasy one. Was already a professional illustrator before Holo, making good money drawing art for gachashit and LNs from the nerdcave in her parents house. Only slight kink is that she said she was friendless before Hololive and wasted time escaping into MMOs, but we're primarily rating financial security without/pre Hololive here first and foremost, not subjective issues like muh depression and shit.
>GuraOn the plus side, she already had a pretty popular channel before Holo. But you can only guess much money she was actually making from her bi-annual viral meme songs. Her pre-Holo attempts into streaming though have been rather aimless and middling at best, so it's unclear if she could've established a successful regular streaming career on her own without a company providing her direction (arguably, even now she kinda lost direction again). Seems to have wealthy enough parents in the background who could've supported her if she just remained a neet, or at least she doesn't have much history about having to 9-5 wageslave to support herself.
>MoriNiche artist in a niche genre. Yeah she was already a minor known quantity in her specific scene (some of her own old songs had hundreds of thousands of views, and some of the songs she animated the mv for had over a million views), but it's not like she was a big success, or even on the road to it, as evidenced by the fact that she still was only slumming it in Japan in a little shit apartment and having to work multiple dayjobs to support herself (and well mainly to keep the visa). So without Holo, she probably would've just continued doing what she was doing before, trying to make it as an artist in her scene, and if that didn't work out, would've just went home to the US after a while, to do whatever. Seems also to have a wealthy enough family in the background as an additional support she can drawn from, and other than that she would've just gone back to normal wageslaving if it needed to be.
>KiaraHad already given up on trying to become a traditional idol again, was just doing some minor cosplay convention gigs, travel vlogging and a little streaming before Holo. We pretty much know what she would've done if she hadn't gotten into Holo, given how she openly talked about it. Was originally in Japan at the time trying to work some tourism related job for the olympics, covid fucked everything and she was stranded aimless, and if Hololive hadn't come around she would've just went home and resigned herself to living a normal life wageslaving away at some normal job like in the hospitality business or standard office shit.
>AmeWas a minor twitch streamer before, not really going anywhere. Who knows, maybe she still would've made it bigger over time and became one of the self-sufficient indies if she didn't get into Hololive, given that she was pretty early to the vtuber game (was already a vtuber before HoloEN boosted the scene in the west), had some connections to people like Silvervale etc. that she would've maybe tried to leverage, but who knows. On the other side her home situation seems to have been pretty shit, so if the streaming career didn't work out she would still have to be wageslaving dayjobs, iirc she said she would've tried becoming an EMT or something if Holo didn't happen.
