>Are you fine with male vtubers, or with males being in the presence of your vtuber?>Do you prefer your humor to be at most PG rated, or do you like R13 or raunchier?>Do you prefer streamers that play a character/kayfabe, or streamers that are just themselves?Once you have your answers, you can narrow your choices to the several following groups, browsing for whoever suits your interests the most:
Hololive, particularly the EN branch has factionized into ''yes males'' vs ''no males'' as of late. If your answer to the 1st question is no then going into Hololive really just depends on how strict you are with your ''no males'' policy; if you can tolerate the branch having males as long as they never cross your chuuba then you can pick someone from the no-males side (Kiara, Fauna, Gura, IRyS, disputably Mumei). Otherwise just go to JP as they are effectively very walled off from their Stars counterparts save for a select few like Fubuki, Matsuri or Sora. That aside, Hololive majorly leans into PG-13 humor; very little overt sex jokes and raunchy language unless it's Marine or Matsuri. Playing a kayfabe is almost mandatory for a Holo, though some play it up stronger or weaker than others.
Nijisanji has a wide variety of streamers that are both PG and R-13+, and both playing a character and just being themselves as streamers, so any answer to the latter 2 questions works for them, but if your answer to the 1st question is no then this corpo is very much not for you, as the company is essentially co-ed. This is a very huge company however, so finding a vtuber to your tastes if your answers land here might take a long while.
Vshojo is widely regarded as being vulgar and crass; pretty much the South Park of vtubing. Some members are less vulgar than others however, particularly Ironmouse, who is their most-watched member. While it has no males as members, nearly all of them either have spouses or partners, and they also collab frequently with males outside of their company. They adopt much more of a streamer persona, though some of them makes occasional references to their lore. They are also free of the restrictions Japanese corpos have, particularly against react content and game permissions, which makes them a lot more unrestricted than the Big 2 corpos, for better or worse.
Small corpos vary wildly in style, so if neither of the above 3 suits you then I might suggest one or two based on your answers.
