>Uuuu, in the Nintendo developed series “Punch-Out!”, Glass Joe, the first boxer you’ll face, has a record of 1 Win and 99 losses. It’s been speculated that the one victory came at the expense of Nick Bruiser, the final boss of the 1994 SNES entry “Super Punch-Out!!”, as Glass Joe’s name appears on the fastest times list in-game. Furthermore, in the 2009 entry for the Nintendo Wii, Glass Joe receives special headgear after his 100th loss, which not serves on a means to make Glass Joe more confident and thus, more difficult in the Title Defense fight, but is also foreshadowing to the player that should they lose 100 fights, they too can unlock his special headgear. It should also note that despite his record, Glass Joe is the most prolific boxer in the series, as the only other boxer to come close to the number of overall fights is Super Punch-Out’s Hoy Quarlow, with a total of 75.
