Watching Elira's 3D Debute made me realize that Hololive hires dancers to do the 3D mocap instead of the actual livers.

Nothing the other EN girls outside of Kiara has done show a high level of dance skill. It's just a rrat saying all the rest have dancers for them.

As for the JP girls, they literally talk often about the amount of dance practice they have to do for events.

I doubt it, they're nowhere near as good as pro dancers. This board went batshit when Korone did one (1) (une) cartwheel; a girl who dances for a living does acrobatics like that for breakfast lunch and dinner.

It's all blatantly pre-recorded of course but this is an open secret at this point and has been for years now.

What Korone did was not a cartwheel, it's much harder than a cartwheel, though I am not sure what it would be called. But yes, it's still something you'd expect professional dancers to have no trouble with.

Ah, thanks for the name. All I could think to call it was a handstand front flip, but that sounded wrong since I associate jumping with flips.
I guess I wouldn't know about the difficulty since I've never tried, but I don't think I could pull it off after a few attempts like I could a cartwheel. The movement to properly connect going from a handstand to having your foot/feet back on the ground looks like it would need a fair bit of practice to not just land on your back, or slip.

Anything online is 100% prerecorded, it's for the better anyways since it guarantees that the quality will be as good as it is. For in person events who knows, what nijisanji does is prerecord the singing and lipsync but the dancing is live so maybe it's something like that.
