I used to sit in on Superchat Readings the first year because why the fuck not.
I ended up making friends with viewers more than the streamer because I'd say their poems were cool and they liked that I said Happy Birthday to them.
In practical terms it didn't mean a lot but it kinda feels good that I made some chatter feel nice.
Of course as far as interacting with the streamer it always felt like unless they were getting 100 bucks or something they were just a teacher doing an attendance check.

Same here. I think I can listen to some normal streamers shoot the shit and fuck around, but I can't really do that with vtubers in most cases. The game's what I show up for a lot of the time unless it's a major event stream.
