>>41021370This is a myth. Knee injuries are not primarily a result of running. Some knee injuries of frequent runners may be the result of running without exercising other leg muscles. Some knee injuries of frequent runners (especially older runners) may be a result of a sensitivity to high impact activities in general. Most occasional or moderate runners do not suffer any knee injuries, and in fact may strengthen their knees. The same is true of the arches of your feet. People with "fallen arches" can still run, and some amounts of running may even be beneficial to your feet.
