Mori is a genuine person, and she wants to create music that's genuine as well, that's her appeal. The best way to do this is to write about things and emotions you've experienced, and you can see this in almost all of her music. A large portion of her life experience, especially within the past few years, has been internet-related, and this gives her material to write songs about. I think it's completely fair for her to write a song or two about it given how much the internet has influenced her life.
Also I personally define addiction as an activity or substance taking over and negatively affecting your life alongside the inability to stop it, and I'd say Twitter isn't doing that to her.
