I've been following vtubers since the days of ai chan on multiple communities and nijisanjiJP has never been relevant, even on nijiEN servers
perhaps one lone guy would post a couple nijiJP related things and there would be just silence in response, meanwhile HoloJP shit gets posted constantly and actually gets interaction
early 2020 when Hololive was really taking off in the west with clips there was a minor blip of NijiJP presence online, for instance Lulu clips were very popular, there were a couple of gundou and hoshikawa clips being degenerate that got some shares and a couple of albion and ars clips but I'm talking about literally a couple of links in a sea of Hololive links, even hirasaka mei got more shares than nijiJP
there's like 300 nijiJP and I can only mention like 5 tops with any relevance in the west
after english vtubers took off in popularity japanese vtubers overall declined, but HoloJP remaind relatively strong and relevant
Nijisanji JP never achieved any relevance, at all
I'm sure any number metric would back me up but I'm really just speaking from experience
even on this board NijiJP gets its mandatory dedicated general thread and maybe a couple of shitposts sometimes, right now I count over 140 threads and only 3 NijisanjiJP threads including this one, it overall it barely makes a blip on the radar and even shit like phase connect and idol get more engagement, and this is like the most niche and in depth place for vtuber discussion in the west, you can hardly go any deeper or more dedicated big discussion place for vtubers than /vt/
hell even pekora's monkey is more relevant in the international community than the entirety of Nijisanji JP
the first and only time I saw a surge of NijisanjiJP relevance is when salome debuted and her numbers became a topic of discussion and even then she herself wasn't relevant only her numbers and she was more like a proxy topic for the war between numberfag Hololive stans and its antis
