>>41222119>What aka get from them ?advertisement. those indie chuubas are their advertisement board.
Corpos are competing against each other on grabbing the best talents they could find.
Airi, Cae, Gema, Akemi and Ave are used to advertise how good of a company AKA virtual is. The salary, the gaming chair, the 3d debut, the viral marketing through shorts, they have it all.
This is how they build up their brand name: by showing that they're better than other corpos and flexing their money.
With this, it will attract many talented applicants to AKA. I wouldn't be surprised if they could poach talents from other companies like Fiona, Silvia, and Alenka.
if the Nijisanji-vshojo hybrid is just an advertisement, the Hololive clone would be their main products. i think they might grow to be HoloID's strongest rival to date if they play their cards right. What AKA lack is an EN branch as the anchor to the largest vtubing community. i understand why they are after ID market tho other than the big untapped audience :
1. ID talent pool is not shallow, unlike NijiEN and StarsEN who need to grab ESLs to fill the member quota.
2. the market and streaming scene are still growing unlike EN where it's saturated by big male fleshstreamers like XQC, dream, ninja and many more, Since our streaming scene is very young with not many established streamers, it's possible to program the masses into accepting vtubers like they are normal streamers and get our own Kuzuha and Pekora.
BUT AKA still need an EN branch, there's no other golden opportunity like today when there's a void left by EN3 and ID4.
2023 would be an interesting year for sure.
